You have 3 hours to help a Baltimore-based director raise money

Matt Porterfield is raising funds for his film, “Putty Hill,”— he needs donations in order to help pay for productions costs and to help properly promote the film for SxSw.

“Synopsis: A young man dies of a heroin overdose in an abandoned house in Baltimore. On the eve of his funeral, family and friends gather to commemorate his life. Their shared memories paint a portrait of a community hanging in the balance, skewed by poverty, city living, and a generational divide, united in their pursuit of a new American Dream.” To donate : http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/puttyhill/putty-hill

“You have 3 hours to help a Baltimore- based director raise money,” with just that title, I am hooked. Just that title sounds intense. Then when I read on I find out that the story itself is more so.

You should post the video right on the page by embedding it in html if you can, just to add a little extra umph to your post 🙂

It’s a cool way to advertise a show and help this director complete his own dream.
